Germany has invented and improved many of the things we use today. One of the best so far is the 2007 Volkswagen Jetta GLI. Everyone knows that German cars are high quality, reliable, and down right gorgeous. So what makes the GLI stand out from the rest? Well, great gas mileage for one thing and the performance on this vehicle is to die for. Not to mention it handles like it’s on rails. This car is so hot no wonder they call it the Fahrenheit edition.
Why settle for the standard, when you can have a limited edition? With the 2007 Volkswagen Jetta GLI Fahrenheit edition, you know that you have a limited edition, mostly because it says so on the steering wheel. And, yes, there really is a plate on the steering wheel that has the edition number, like say, number 63 of 1200. With only 1200 of this particular edition made, there are a lot of reasons to get your hands on one, and not only to say that you have something that only 1,199 other people have.
With all the speed a GLI has you would expect it to be a crammed sports car, but not this German work of genius. This quick little Jetta is over fourteen feet in length and five feet in width. It’s a real head turner too. The exterior color is yellow and the interior color is black with stitching that gives it an amazing contrast.
While you are behind the wheel of the GLI you will have all the comfort of an adjustable seat. However, not only does the seat move up, down, back, and forth, but you can also move the steering wheel wheel up, down, and it telescopes in and out too. Its interior height is about thirty-eight inches tall giving ample head room.
Lets get right down to the speed. The Fahrenheit has a turbo engine the pushes out 200 Horsepower. Plus, you get to choose between a 6 speed manual trans or a six-speed sport shifter in an automatic transmission. If that wasn’t enough you get even more comfort with dual heated sports seats with height and lumbar adjustment.
The 2007 Volkswagen Jetta GLI Fahrenheit will get, on average, between twenty-three and twenty-five miles per gallon in city driving and about thirty-two miles per gallon on the highway, according to the EPA. It comes standard with eighteen inch wheels and a sunroof as well as a six-disc remote change CD player with satellite radio optional from Monsoon and a compass just in case you get lost.
To make this German phenomenon equipped with safety they improved the handling as well. It will practically eliminate the tendency of the GLI pulling to one side while accelerating. The GLI is equipped with traction control for those stormy nights.
The GLI Fahrenheit is everything that you would want out of a German car. It can be said that there is nothing like it on the market.
